About Me

Contact Me

Most of my web development and design has been for Clabber Girl Corporation however in the past couple of years I've also enjoyed expanding my horizons and working on other web projects independently. This is a welcome challenge for me and I hope to continue working on different projects when given the opportunity.

Here is a sampling of some of the websites I have made.

Clabbergirl.com/international - a subsite, or website within a website.

The clabbergirl.com/international website was made for the international community and served as both a consumer website with recipes and a business to business website, showcasing products and providing case/quanitity information for customers.

I chose the INTERNATIONAL font, photo of the container ship on the ocean and world map on the top header to show at a glance that this was for the worldwide community.

Because this website would not be updated frequently I used php and javascript to change images on the pages when the page refreshed.

A php script was also used to make the date and time on the main countries page show the current date/time no matter where you were in the world.

Delisheries FTP website

I made this website as an answer to an ongoing struggle to provide customers with images for catalogs. Many times CD's with photos had to be overnighted to customers for their use which took time and money. This FTP site was made so that customers can view and download images and brochures with little effort. This saved time and money and provided customer satisfaction by giving immediate access to information.

The Sullivan Daily Times

This newspaper was looking for a website that would provide them with an online presence, and allow new subscribers a way to subscribe to the Sullivan Daily Times. They also wanted residents of their area to be able to send information easily for insertion in their community news or classifieds. It was also important for one of their own people to be able to update certain areas on a daily basis.

I gave them three design choices, and once this was made I created the website with 5 contact forms and a link to Paypal for Classified Ads. I also advised them on the use of Contribute, a product made by Adobe that can be used by the layman to update pages on a website that has already been made. The images on the splash page are updated daily by their own employee as well as the image and headlines on the main inner page.

Latta's Vintage Market

A cozy antique store and country market, Lattas wanted an online presence to inform people of their location and of their two major product lines: Sarge's Military Supply and Ben's Mustard.

I made the design for this website from the look of their business card and according to their wishes, emphasized a red, white and blue theme. The home page shows the look of the outside of the store which also carries on through the website on the left navigation. Each page shows a sampling of the different departments within the store and introduces the owners, Denise and Martin Latta.

I attempted to make it as welcoming as possible, and make people feel like they will enter a friendly, down-home country store when they visit.
